3. Service Description

Rivn is a secure, client-side encrypted photo and note storage service. Your content is encrypted on your device before being uploaded to our servers, ensuring that only you can access your data.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and encryption password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
• Keeping your encryption password secure - we cannot recover lost encryption passwords

5. Data Security and Encryption

We employ client-side encryption using AES-GCM. Your content is encrypted on your device before transmission. We cannot access, view, or decrypt your stored content. This means:

• We cannot recover your data if you lose your encryption password
• We cannot provide technical support that requires viewing your content
• You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your encrypted data

6. Prohibited Content

You may not store content that:

• Violates applicable laws or regulations
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or harmful code
• Is used to harass, abuse, or harm others

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime that could temporarily affect access to your data.

8. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the service interface. Upon termination, your encrypted data will be permanently deleted according to our retention policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

Rivn is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any data loss, service interruption, or damages arising from your use of the service. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or service notifications.
